The purpose of this manual is to strengthen the capacity of local mediators and community based peace actors to prevent, manage, and resolve conflicts through participatory and locally owned approaches. The manual further provides necessary tools and techniques for facilitating dialogue and collaborative problem-solving approaches in the conflict settings of HOA and the Gulf.

The findings will add to a more comprehensive discourse on international relations by emphasizing the role that economic diplomacy plays in advancing geopolitical stability and sustainable development in a world that is becoming more interconnected by the day.
Deconstructing Agency and Mediation Efforts in the Middle East & Sub-Saharan African relations
On 18 September, CARPO and the HOME Institute (Horn of Africa & Middle East Institute) launched their new webinar series “The Middle East and Africa in Flux.” The inaugural session, which was organized in partnership with the Muscat Policy Council, examined Middle Eastern engagement in mediation and conflict resolution in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a particular focus on the political, cultural, and geo-economic ties that have deepened between the two regions over the past decade.
